Dr. Hugh Calkins, professor of cardiology and director of the Electrophysiology Laboratory and Arrhythmia Service, provides an overview of atrial fibrillation including diagnosis and treatment options.  Dr. Calkins also details the approaches available to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation and describes the techniques available to remove or occlude the atrial appendage.
